Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Pearland MLKCC (Pearland Martin Luther King Celebration Committee) website and describe the terms for any future Pearland MLKCC SMS program. Please also review our Privacy Policy.

Website use and inquiries

Use this website lawfully and provide accurate information when contacting the committee. Do not use the website to submit abusive content, impersonate others, or interfere with its operation. Event details, scholarship requirements, and program availability may change; please confirm important details with the committee.

The contact form opens an email draft using your email application. You must send the draft yourself. Opening a draft does not deliver your inquiry, register you for an event, or create a text subscription.

Registration, donations, and third-party services

Donations, memberships, and banquet registrations use Zeffy’s embedded or linked forms. Review the campaign details, payment terms, and any applicable cancellation or refund policy before completing a transaction. Questions about a Pearland MLKCC registration or contribution should be directed to the committee. External services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Pearland MLKCC SMS program

SMS enrollment is not currently active on this website. The displayed SMS choices are disabled and unchecked. This contact form does not record text-message consent or send texts. The following program disclosures describe the terms that will apply if enrollment is enabled and you separately choose to opt in.

Program description and message types

The sender is Pearland MLKCC (Pearland Martin Luther King Celebration Committee). With your express consent, informational texts may include responses to your inquiries, event registration reminders, volunteer coordination, and scholarship updates. With separate promotional consent, texts may include fundraising appeals, event promotions, and membership opportunities. Messages may be sent using automated technology.

Optional, separate consent

Informational and promotional messaging require separate, affirmative opt-ins. Neither option will be preselected. Consent is not required to purchase, donate, join, volunteer, submit an inquiry, or receive assistance. Providing a phone number or selecting an interest alone does not grant SMS consent. Only provide a number you own or are authorized to use.

Frequency and costs

Message frequency varies by your interactions, preferences, and program activity. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Contact your carrier for details about charges.

Opting out

For an active text subscription, reply STOP to the number sending you messages to cancel further SMS messages. You may receive one final message confirming your opt-out. No further program texts will be sent unless you separately opt in again. You can also contact the committee for help with your communication preferences.

Delivery and carrier limitations

Mobile data and privacy

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties, except necessary service providers operating and delivering the messaging program on our behalf. Updates to these terms
